I imagine dinner rolls being served on these small individual leaf plates; certainly a creative bread plate for your dinner during the autumn months! They also can serve as dishes to hold trinkets and what-nots around the house, as well as simple decorative pieces to place on an end table.
This set of leaf plates was made with leaves from my backyard. I made each one by imprinting a leaf into a slab of clay, cutting out the shape of the leaf, and letting it dry on a small cloth hammock. I then attached the feet, which I formed from a mold I made of acorns. The feet look like the top of a small acorn.
